To all our members
It’s now over two months since The Hibs Club was closed in line with government guidance.
Firstly we’d like to say that we have missed you all. Sunnyside should be a focal point for our branches and supporters of Hibs, and we can’t wait to open the doors again.
We hope our members have stayed safe and healthy. We send our thoughts and condolences to all who have lost loved ones and friends during this crisis.
When will The Hibs Club reopen?
We know many of you are wondering when we will reopen. The truth is we don’t yet know the answer to that question.
The safety and health of our staff and members will always be our first priority.
We have been planning how we can open in line with the guidance set out in phase 3 of the Scottish Government’s route map through and out of the crisis.
This would likely mean opening on a trial basis to ensure that:
- our procedures and health measures are workable and manageable
- opening on this limited basis makes sound financial sense for the future of our Club
In line with current government advice we are unable to give any date for when we might be able to make the decision to open, even with social distancing and improved hygiene measures in place.
We will let you know as soon as we are able to provide a date but, as many of you will be aware, the government will proceed with caution and we will follow their guidelines and advice.
Our AGM and our Trustees
Our Annual General Meeting should have been held on the first Sunday in May. At the moment we are unable to confirm when a rearranged AGM could be held.
The current Trustees have agreed to remain in post until an AGM can be held. They will continue to work hard to ensure that HSA emerges from this trying time in a position of strength with a secure future ahead of us.
Finally we’d like to thank all our members for their support over the years and ask that you continue support The Hibs Club when we can once again welcome you to Sunnyside.
