For those Hibs fans not making the trip to Paisley – join us at The Hibs Club to watch the Terry Butcher era at Easter Road get underway.
St Mirren v Hibs, 12.45pm ko, Sky Sports
The SFA might not let Terry take his seat in the dugout but it’s certainly going to be interesting to see what changes he’s managed to bring to the side in the two weeks since we last played.
“I am looking within and saying ‘what can you do, how can you improve, what will it take, and what can you give Hibernian Football Club when it comes to games?’
He certainly seems to have figured out how to approach Saturday’s game:
“Maurice and I have talked about a team for Saturday.”
“It is up to us to put out a team based on what we will have seen.
“I will disappoint a lot of players when I name the team but the ones that are named need to make sure they do enough to stay there.”
Will he be ringing the changes or just trying to boost the same players who seemed low on confidence under Pat Fenlon?
“I’m not normally renowned for my subtlety but I think there has to be little steps forward rather than dramatic swings of the axe or ripping things out and starting again.
“We have a good squad of players with very good spirit – there’s no cliques or bitterness – they get on really well and they do that on the pitch as well.”
So can Terry and Maurice get off to a winning start?
