The Trustees of the Hibernian Supporters Association welcome today’s statement regarding the change in majority ownership of Hibernian.
We look forward to hearing more of Ron Gordon’s plans for the future, and we are confident that the infrastructure and fan base in place will allow Leeann and Paul to drive our debt free football club forward.
We are also pleased to hear that the new owner has already met with representatives of Hibernian Supporters (formerly HSL.) Keeping fans engaged and informed should remain key for the football club – and we look forward to continuing our own productive and constructive relationship with the club and with Hibernian Supporters.
We would also like to thank Sir Tom Farmer and Rod Petrie for their contribution to Hibs.
While HSA and HFC haven’t always seen eye to eye during their term as custodians of our football club, their place in the history of Hibernian is assured.
Sir Tom’s willingness to get involved during the Hands off Hibs campaign – a campaign which had its home at The Hibs Club – and in the dark days that followed secured our football club for generations to come.
It must be of satisfaction to both Sir Tom and Rod that they leave Hibs having finally seen the Scottish Cup at Easter Road.
We look forward to the new season and a new era at Easter Road and wish Ron, Leeann, Paul and the players all the very best for the future.
